New HOP Faculty Member Joins Cancer Research Network 2015 Scholar Cohort

Ramzi Salloum, Ph.D., assistant professor in the Department of Health Outcomes & Policy, was one of ten researchers from around the country selected to join the Cancer Research Network 2015 Scholar Cohort, which aims to develop cutting-edge skills for conducting research in a network of health care organizations.

The 26-month training program, sponsored by the National Cancer Institute, provides junior investigators with self-guided educational opportunities, training, and support to develop research independence using Cancer Research Network resources.

As part of the training process, Salloum will develop grant applications and/or manuscripts through one-on-one mentoring and by participating in twice-monthly conference calls with other peers in the program.

“I am thrilled to participate in this highly selective program,” said Salloum. “The CRN Scholars Program will provide me with the opportunity to develop a line of research in cancer preferences measurement within a diverse network of integrated health care delivery systems.”
